I am a graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology and spent over 20 years working in the advertising, marketing, and public relations industry in New York.
I am new to the pottery world but I have always had a love for ceramics.
As an avid cook I always consider the presentation which is enhanced by the plate or bowl, tying my love of cooking with my love of ceramics.
I am also a passionate history buff and traveler and so my love of different cultures and arts are of prime interest in my art vision.
After watching the movie Ghost, I fell in love with Patrick Swayze and the pottery wheel.
I took a class at the local county college and have been going back ever since.
I fell in love with the feel of clay, the potters wheel, the glazes, and the endless creative possibilities.
I have been working with clay for only 5 years but I can’t imagine not having my hands immersed in clay and creating new shapes.
Most of my pieces are functional but every once in a while I like to step outside of my comfort zone and create something whimsical.
