"Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful."-William Morris

Maria is a ceramic artist, who is born and raised in New Jersey where she currently resides with her husband and children.  Her interest in pottery began as early as elementary school where she first experienced working with clay. She always had a creative side, but life took her down another path.

Because of her love of pottery, she started working again with clay. Maria finds working with clay is calming, it takes her away from life's everyday stresses.   It brings her so much joy and satisfaction when seeing the finished pot that was created out of a ball of mud.   All her pottery is wheel thrown or hand constructed, full rich and vibrant colors which is a reflection her personality and personal style.

Maria is loyal to the idea that pottery should be purposeful, but it can also be an object to be admired. Maria's primary focus has been on functional pottery with an additional line of unique art pieces.  The ability to create both styles of pottery fulfill her desire for exploring various techniques in throwing, glazing and firing.

Maria's greatest satisfaction is using her pottery on her dining table and knowing that her pottery brings others joy in their homes. She hopes her pottery shows how much love, passion, and attention to detail was put in creating each piece of pottery.

Maria's work is porcelain and stoneware fired in a gas reduction kiln cone 10 or fired in an electric kiln cone 6.  All her pottery is food, dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe.
