I began my pottery journey in 2016 after my kids moved out to attend college. While I’ve always enjoyed drawing and painting, I never found the time to take any formal art classes due to school/work/family. Finally, I was able to take a class in drawing and pottery. Pottery quickly became my obsession and passion.
I am primarily a wheel thrower but I'm exploring hand building as well. My goal is to combine these skills together. I love pottery because the learning ,experimenting and creativity are endless. I make functional and decorative pieces. Most of my decorative pieces are Raku fired.
I took classes at the Visual Art Center in Summit NJ for 7 years until I moved to New York City. I'm currently developing my ceramic skills at Queens College and with Peter Syak in Bloomfield N
