When I was little, about four years old, I was watching the TV show Sesame Street, a potter was throwing a big piece on the wheel. I was fascinated watching a clump of clay spin around and then transform into a large, beautiful vase. From that day on, I always dreamt about creating with clay.

Fast forward, after a career in video production and raising children, clay is now my medium of expression. I throw to form functional everyday pieces. I hand build and create fun decorative works. Most importantly, I play and sculpt.

Beyond working with raw clay, I love colors and glazing. I particularly enjoy the process of blending and mixing glazes and incorporating them into complementary designs to create movement and depth on the finished surface.
I also enjoy painting and working with underglazes to create animal portraits on mugs. My goal is not to simply duplicate an animal, but to capture its spirit so when observed, it invokes a strong personal association.

Ultimately, each piece of my pottery is a part of my creative journey and I hope it brings joy to those who encounter it, just like it did me, as a little girl.
