Life is full of whimsy if we are willing to look for it, and I do my best to reflect that in my work. I want to make pieces that are not only functional, but will bring a smile to my face...as well as yours.
I love animals and spend a lot of time in nature, and both influence my work tremendously. I like to imprint my pieces with objects found outdoors, or stamps that I have made or purchased.
I work with several types of clay, but porcelain is my favorite. It just feels like butter in my hands...
I studied painting and ceramics at California College of Arts and Crafts, Parsons School of Design, and The Art School at Old Church in Demarest. I currently teach ceramics to both adults and teens at the Art School at Old Church, as well as teaching various art classes to survivors of domestic violence at The Center For Hope and Safety. My solo exhibitions include the Cafe Gallery at TASOC and the Norwood Public Library.  Group exhibitions include The Belskie Museum, Rockland Center for The Arts, as well as The Art School at Old Church.
I am the proud owner and head clay mistress of Pit Bull Pottery. Each year a portion of my proceeds is donated to animal rescue facilities.
My motto is... Buy a pot and save a Pit!
