Pottery is both my hobby and my therapy! From the moment I took my first class on the potters wheel in 2004, I fell in love with the entire process. I love that I can leave life's stresses at the door and play with mud!
Much of my work tends to skew towards the functional side - bowls, vases, mugs, etc. But I also enjoy making many decorative and whimsical items - from my pumpkins and Christmas trees to my more recent line of octopus-inspired pieces.
I come from a family of artists. My grandfather was an illustrator for the Asbury Park Press. And both of my parents are full-time artists, travelling to fine art shows up and down the east coast. So even though I have a "day job" in business, I guess art was bound to find it's way into my life in some form!
I work out of The Cracked Pot Studio in Lake Hiawatha, NJ, and sell at several local shows as well as an annual sale at my home in Caldwell, NJ.
