I have had a connection with clay for many years, starting with taking a ceramics class while studying at the County College of Morris. I continued a pursuit of working with clay at Montclair State University, focusing on hand-built sculptures, but it wasn’t until years after graduating that I truly connected with the potter’s wheel. In 2022 I found my way to Mud Clay Studio, having not worked with clay since shortly after leaving university, and it felt like coming home. In the past two years I have grown and developed my artistic voice through the wheel. I decorate my work with my love of mountains, forests, and travel. I put a bit of myself and my travels into each landscape and tree that I carve into my pots. As an anxious introvert, words often fail me, so, with my pottery, I share these bits of myself, that I may be known even just a little.
